About Source & Tap
Every water utility publishes a yearly report on what's in its water. Source & Tap reads those reports, checks every number against the original, and shows what they mean for your town.
Why "source and tap"
Many towns don't make their own water. They buy it from a neighboring system, or mix their own wells with purchased water. Government records don't always show this correctly, so a town's page elsewhere can describe water that never reaches its taps. We trace where each town's water actually comes from, from the source to your tap, before we describe what's in it.
What we're not
We're an independent site. We aren't affiliated with any water utility, government agency or filter maker. We don't give medical advice. If you have health concerns about your water, talk to your doctor or your utility.

Who runs this site
I'm Yıldırım Sertbaş, and I run Source & Tap. I'm an independent analyst based in Istanbul with more than seven years of experience working with search and web data. I build the automated pipelines that collect this site's data and check every number against the utility's original report.
I'm not a water engineer or a health professional. That's why this site doesn't interpret health effects on its own: it shows what the utility reported, compares it with the legal limits, and links every figure back to its source.
